To be an artist

You have to pour your soul

A million times again

Succumbing to the fears

Of judgement and displease

Knowing in your heart

It’s all about the passions

Pushing you forward.

It’s trusting in the complete unknown

Trusting

The fruits of your labors

Are to be

So much greater

Than you can even see

To be an artist is a frightening plea

Though I’d deem it

More exhilarating

Than one

Can foresee
